Alpaca Yarn

Warm, lightweight, soft and hypo-allergenic, Alpaca yarn makes up into the perfect garment for town or country. Alpaca Yarn is wonderful to work with and even asthma sufferers can usually knit and crochet using Alpaca with no ill effects.
Alpaca Yarn is particularily good for baby and children's garments as it is so soft and easy to wear and is machine washable on a HAND WASH WOOL cycle.
We have seven different shades of alpaca yarn currently available, from white to nearly black, through dark brown, mid brown and dark and light fawn. These come in Double Knitting and 4 ply with some 2 ply in Light Fawn only. We have small batches of yarn processed to keep the colour definition more exact. Yarn ball bands carry a photograph of an alpaca whose fleece is in the particular batch.
We currently have some BABY Alpaca yarn in White [4ply only left] Light Fawn [DK only left ] and Mid Fawn [DK and 4 ply available]. These are even softer than our other yarn but we only have rather limited supplies until the shearer comes again!
