We purchased some Alpaca socks a year ago at Orton market, the dress socks are so comfortable for every day wear and wear incredibly well. We also bought a pair each of the cushioned soled thicker socks, and boy do these keep your feet warm. We are divers and these are the best socks for keeping the feet warm in a dry suit in cold water. Both styles of socks are so good that we made a 40 mile drive from Ulverston on a very wet sunday in January to buy another 7 pairs need we say more, these are recommended.
Caroline, Thanks for your welcome on a wet day, Dave & Liz Skinner

Hi Caroline and Robin,
Came to visit you last week for some fleece for my felting project. Thanks so much for the warm welcome and the chance to see the alpacas again. I'll be back soon!

I and my girlfriend found out about the Alpaca farm in a beautiful day in August 2013 by accident when we stopped to chase a deer. We saw the sign and decided to walk in for a visit. Firstly welcomed by a lovely dog, and then by the farm lady. She invited us to see the whole farm and the cute lovely alpacas and explained to us everything about the alpacas very nicely and in detail. We were totally unexpected guests and I am so blessed by this much of hospitality. We both had a great day to see such a nice lady, learning so much and of course, seeing some of the cutest creatures ever! Strongly recommend a visit to everyone. If you need a get away from the town finding a B&B is a memorable experience.

Durham Guild of Spinners, Weavers & Dyers 'away day' started at Farfield Mill in the morning and then to the farm in the afternoon. What a fantastic day we had. Robin & Caroline, were so enthusiastic, informative and fun to be with. Being textile mad we were in seventh heaven, with all the fabulous fibres and yarn. The range of colours is amazing and the quality of the fibre superb. This was followed by a truly amazing home cooked spread with equally interesting conversation. This lead to a husband suggesting our next visit should be for a cookery course!! The only downside to the day was that the weather turned after tea and was far too wet for either us or the Alpaca to go out to play. I am sure we shall all be back at some point for fibre, yarn or to just enjoy these wonderful animals. Thank you for making us so welcome

Just received my fantastic alpaca woolover from Robin and Caroline. I am ecstatic, it is soft, light to wear, and so warm. It is in brown/cream with an argyle pattern on the front. Just a tip when ordering from afar, it is better to order quoting the measurements, i.e. chest measurement from under the sleeve and from top to bottom at the back, rather than size as the latter can be so different from country to country, the size of the knit/yarn can change it also or so my wife tells me. Excellently knitted garment, we wear impressed with the neck and waist band. What a super friendly pair are Robin and Caroline. Highly recommend them to anyone, service and advice excellent!
