Fox Guards Return from the Hill
Alpaca Fox Guards returning home from the hill, after a successful stint protecting ewes and their lambs from predation by Charlie Fox.
A well-respected local hill farmer, who in 2015 used a group of three alpacas to protect his lambing ewes and their lambs from the attention of hungry foxes, this year employed the services of two such groups. Once again, he reported himself well satisfied by the job the alpacas had done.
Now, as you will know, Hill Farmers are by no means the easiest people to teach new tricks!
Clearly, however, the proof of the pudding is, indeed, in the eating; and this one knows a good thing when he sees one. But then, WhyNot?
We're sure you never doubted it; though Charlie him- (or, perhaps, her-)self may not be too well suited.
Meantime, the next troop, who went out a bit later, are also reported to have pleased; and are due home shortly.
